AISEA: a coalition of AI communities in Asia

We're a federation of local communities building AI that matters, under real constraints: small teams, with tight budgets, in markets the big labs aren't building for.

A builder in Penang shouldn't have worse access than a builder in Singapore. Alone, no single community can get tool credits, partner access, or a speaker from a frontier lab. Together we can.

Communities keep their spirit and independence. AISEA gets them what they can't get alone.

How AISEA works

Local communities, shared support

AISEA connects independent AI builder communities across Southeast Asia. Local organisers choose their own culture, priorities, and events. The wider network helps with the work that is difficult for one chapter to sustain alone: partner relationships, practical playbooks, shared tools, and introductions across borders. The aim is continuity for communities and useful access for the people who build in them.

Explore communities

Build with real constraints

Builders can find events, collaborators, and projects through AISEA. Hands-on meetups, hackathons, challenges, and residencies give teams a reason to test ideas with real users and deliver working results. A public builder profile can record skills and work so another builder or organiser can find the right person. Participation in an event is distinct from admission to a program or proof of a completed project.

Work with the network

Tool companies can learn how builders use their products in regional settings and receive honest feedback. Companies can work with curated builders on a defined problem, with milestones, prototypes, and a technical handover. Institutions can coordinate longer-running builder programs with local communities. These routes depend on the specific brief and participants; AISEA does not promise adoption or a particular outcome before the work happens.
